GALVANIC ZINC PLATING
We perform electrolytic zinc plating to provide effective corrosion protection for metal components. This surface treatment forms a thin, uniform, and well-adhering zinc layer on a steel substrate, increasing resistance to moisture and atmospheric influences.
Zinc plating is ideal for parts that require a clean appearance, dimensional accuracy, and functional protection, commonly used in engineering, automotive, electrical, and other industrial applications.
Advantages of zinc plating:
-
High corrosion resistance
-
Accurate and even coating, including fine details
-
Good electrical conductivity and suitability for post-painting
-
Aesthetic glossy or bluish-white finish
-
Option of passivation for enhanced protection and visual effect
Zinc plating technology:
-
Cathodic zinc plating in an electrolyte
-
Available in blue or white passivation
-
Both rack and bulk plating (barrel) methods available
Before plating, we ensure degreasing, pickling, and surface preparation for optimal adhesion.
For best results, parts are abrasive blasted with fine media to remove old paint and rust – this step is essential before zinc plating.
For electrolytic zinc, we blast parts using glass bead media, achieving a smooth surface and perfect visual finish.
Electrolytic zinc is especially suitable for bolts, springs, pins, sprockets, rods, and other visible parts.
The new zinc layer is very thin and does not affect dimensions of threads or shafts.
